One person was hurt when she failed to yield her vehicle on Highway 84 in Hayti and it struck a pickup. The MSHP reports 68 year old Shirley Brown received minor injuries and was taken to the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital. The driver of the pickup, 54 year old Scotty Earnheart of Gideon, was not hurt. That accident happened just before noon yesterday.
A Parma woman was hurt late yesterday afternoon when her pickup was struck from behind by a Freightliner on Highway D, west of Parma. Troopers report the pickup was stopped in the road when it was struck. 24 year old Shannon Woods received minor injuries and was taken to a Cape hospital. That accident happened at 4:30 p.m.
