Last night’s Kennett City Council meeting was coronavirus centered. Police Chief Kenny Wilson reported that his department had implemented some changes due to the concerns over the virus — among them — theft reports will likely be taken over the phone.
Representatives of the Dunklin Co Health Department spoke to the council. Board member Tammy Gibson said the department was working on an action plan.
Interim Director Kim Hughes said the department was beefing up education to help ease the public’s concerns.
