Ripley TN Woman Sentenced to 14 Years in Federal Prison

A West Tennessee woman was sentenced to 14 years in federal prison for conspiracy to distribute over 50 grams of methamphetamine.

According to US Attorney Michael Dunavent of Tennesse’s Western District, beginning in late 2018 until 43 year old Connie Stephens’ arrest in January of last year, investigators with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and the Dyersburg Police Department investigated multiple people for the alleged transporting and distributing actual methamphetamine to West Tennessee.

According to the news release, Stephens distributed actual methamphetamine to an undercover confidential informant on three separate occasions at a residence in Dyersburg.

On Friday, U.S. District Court Chief Judge Thomas Anderson sentenced Stephens to 168 months in federal prison, followed by 5 years of supervised release.
