The need for blood is urgent right now. Michelle Johnson of the Red Cross is hoping if you’re near Hayti Friday you’ll give the gift of blood.
Johnson says most people have never donated blood. The process, however, is simple and takes about 45 minutes from start to finish.
The blood drive Friday at Hayti High School is from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. One more perk — donors will get a $5 Amazon gift card by email just for showing up.
