Steele Police report Sept. 13 – 20, 2018

On September 20, 2018, 30-year-old Laci Lunsford of Cooter was arrested on an active Steele Municipal warrant charging her with failure to appear; Lunsford was later released by Judge Stephen Keating to make a court appearance on October 4th. Arresting Officer: Sides


On September 16, 2018, Steele Police received a report of two men taking items from a parked car at the Steele Post Office. Upon arrival Captain Trimm made contact and one of the men took off running; officers searched but were not able to locate the suspect. During the investigation, it was discovered the car parked at the Post Office was reported being stolen out of Blytheville AR. The stolen car was subsequently towed and impounded. The investigation is continuing.


On September 13, 2018, officers responded to Kelley Park on West Main Street with a report of someone had pulled some flowers from the parks flower bed and bricks were thrown at the park’s monument. Steele Police took a report of the incident and is currently seeking an individual for questioning.
