Today is the first day of August and that means back to school this month for Bootheel students.
Teachers and students are gearing up for the upcoming school year.
Kennett District #39 has scheduled to resume classes on Thursday, Aug. 16. Freshman orientation is scheduled to be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 13.
Kennett’s Preschool Registration will be on Monday, Aug. 13 from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the First Methodist Church Christian Life Center. You are asked to bring the following items for the student: Birth Certificate, Social Security Card, shot record, and proof of residence (a utility bill, cable bill, etc.). Your child will need to accompany you to registration. Kennett Preschool will be hosting an open house on Friday, Aug. 17.
Holcomb schools will resume classes on Friday, Aug. 17, open house will be held from 5 p.m through 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 16.
Delta C-7 schools will be returning from summer break on Thursday, Aug. 16.
Clarkton schools will resume on Friday, Aug. 17, and open house will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 16.
Senath-Hornersville schools will resume classes on Thursday, Aug. 16.
Gideon schools will also resume classes on Thursday, Aug. 16, teachers are to report back on Monday, August 13.
Risco schools are set to resume classes on Monday, Aug. 13.
Southland C-9 will start back on Wednesday, Aug. 15.
