Stolen motorcycle recovered by Steele Police

STEELE, MO – Steele Police Chief Billy Joe Stanfield reports on Friday, July 20, his officers and Pemiscot County Deputies received a report of a stolen dirt bike, officers recovered the dirt bike and during the course of the investigation, it was discovered the motorcycle was stolen from a home on Missouri Street.

Two people were charged in connection with the theft Kevin Downs, 34, of Steele and Jeremy King, 28, of Rector, Ar., whom had an active warrant for his arrest charging him with stealing and resisting arrest with bond of $17,500.00

Steele Police filed charges with the Pemiscot County Prosecuting Attorney and warrants were subsequently issued on Jeremy King charging him with receiving stolen property with bond set at $15,000.00 and a receiving stolen property warrant issued on Kevin Downs with bond set at $5,000.00
