UPDATE: Greene Pharmacy Burglary

Pharmacy Burglarized

Steele Police Chief Billy Joe Stanfield reports that at approx. 3:00 am this morning (Wednesday) Officer Katie Sides responded to a burglary call at Greene Pharmacy located on West Main Street.

Upon arrival officer Sides observed the suspect vehicle leaving the scene and a pursuit then followed; Officer pursued suspect vehicle into Dunklin County Missouri where suspect vehicle then crashed and 2 suspects fled the scene on foot. Pemiscot County, as well as Dunklin County Deputies, arrived to assist in the search of suspects.

One suspect from Memphis TN was located and is currently in custody at the Pemiscot County Jail. The search continues for the second suspect at this time.

More will be released as the investigation continues.

The 2nd suspect, a 43-year-old man from Osceola AR has been apprehended in Dunklin County after a long search.

The two suspects are currently incarcerated in the Pemiscot County Jail awaiting the filing of formal charges by the Pemiscot County Prosecuting Attorney.

Names of the two suspects will be released after the issuance of arrest warrants.

Chief Stanfield wants to thank the Pemiscot County Sheriff’s Department, Dunklin County Sheriff’s Department, Kennett Police and all other agencies involved in the apprehension of the two dangerous suspects.
