Annual Vaccination Clinic set in Hayti, MO

(Hayti, MO) Spring brings a lot of problems for animals in the area and the Caruthersville Humane Society would like to remind everyone to keep their pets updated on their vaccinations. “Parvo has been particularly bad this year,” CHS President Karol Wilcox said, “It is very deadly and contagious. The only way to know your dog is protected is keep her/his vaccinations up to date.”

Dr. Embry of Malden Veterinary Clinic will be hosting his annual vaccination clinic in Hayti on Saturday, May 5th on the Lincoln Street side of the fire station. The clinic will take place from 10:00 a.m. until noon.

Wilcox says all animals must be crated or on a leash and kept in control at all times. Persons from any town or area are welcome, and people coming to the clinic are asked to park behind the fire department. “We ask that you do not block the fire bays,” Wilcox said, “We are grateful the clinic can be set up at the fire department and we do not want to interfere with the fire department’s normal activities.”

Rabies shots are $10 and the parvo/distemper shot for dogs is $15. Feline annual vaccinations are also available for $10 for rabies and $15 for their annual booster.
