Jacob Mangrum, 14, of Cardwell, MO., was killed Friday, March 16, at approximately 8:20 pm in a vehicle/pedestrian accident in Dunklin County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred on Missouri 164, about a half-mile west of Arbyrd. A 2010 Chevrolet Camaro, driven by Jason D. Wommack, 29, of Gobler, was going east on Highway 164.
Wommack’s vehicle was passing another vehicle and struck 14-year-old Mangrum in the roadway.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by Dunklin County Coroner James Powell. This is the 10th death on Troop “E” Highways this year.
