On June 13th, a woman reported to police that while she was outside her home at Nobel Estates a man verbally made threats toward her and she signed a complaint against the man charging him with peace disturbance; the 24-year-old suspect from Steele was subsequently arrested on the complaint of peace disturbance and he received a summons to appear in Steele Municipal Court. On June 14th Steele Police responded to the Food Giant Grocery Store in reference to someone deliberately breaking the front (glass) door; officers subsequently located and arrested a 49-year-old woman from Steele on the charge of property damage and she was taken to the Pemiscot County Jail. On June 14th Steele Police conducted a traffic stop on Michie Street and during the course of the stop the driver gave officers consent to search the car. During the search officers located and seized hypodermic needles along with a spoon containing a residue suspected to be methamphetamine; the substance had field tested positive for meth. The driver a 31-year-old man from Steele was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia; he was taken to the Pemiscot County Jail.
